Current Volunteer Opportunties

Merchandiser

Visual Merchandising: Design and maintain eye-catching displays for accessories, hard goods and other merchandise using color, style, size and seasonality.

Product Placement: Ensure merchandise is properly arranged by category, size and price to enhance customer experience and ease shopping.

Stock Rotation: Rotate merchandise regularly to keep the sales floor fresh and ensure older items are moved effectively

Department organization: Maintain net, organized racks, shelves and tables throughout the store.
What makes this role unique is to work with the constantly changing one-of-a-kind merchandise and an opportunity to be creative while supporting a community-focused mission.
Boutique and Jewelry Counter Associate

Operate and monitor the jewelry counter, including unlocking cases and assisting with purchases.

Display and organize jewelry, handbags, accessories, and boutique merchandise.

Inspect donated items for quality, damage, or missing pieces.

Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of the jewelry and boutique area.

Assist customers with basic product information and if you don’t know get a staff member to assist.

Communicate with cashier to complete sales smoothly

Support store goals by keeping displays full, fresh, and inviting.
What makes this role unique is to work with one-of-a-kind donated jewelry and boutique items. Also to provide a boutique-style shopping experience in a thrift store setting. To blend customer service, merchandising, and responsibility. Help customers discover special finds at affordable prices while supporting our community mission.
Arts & Crafts/Stationary Merchandiser

Sort and evaluate donated arts and craft items (e.g., yarn, fabric, sewing supplies, art materials, and DIY kits).

Assess quality and usability of donated goods.

Create appealing product displays in our one of a kind room for these items.

Organize shelves and racks to maintain a clean and inviting shopping area.

Rotate stock and refresh displays regularly.

Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock to management.
-
May involve light lifting, bending, and standing for periods of time.
What makes this role unique is you can share and expand your creative skills. Work in an area of the store where it’s anybody's guess as to what we have received in donations that week. Help display it and make it look appealing to customers even if we have one of each item. Come and meet like-minded individuals in a positive environment.
