Adopt-a-Family Hamper Program

 

S.H.A.R.E. Society recruits sponsors for the Adopt-a-Family Hamper Program from September to November each year. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the AFH Program has been supporting those in need around the holiday season since 2007.  With your help, we look forward to spreading some holiday cheer again this year!

How to become involved:

• Sponsor a holiday hamper - The Hamper Program matches individuals and families with community sponsors who create a holiday hamper of gifts and food for their match. 

• Donate to the AFH Program – S.H.A.R.E. Society accepts cash donations, too; funds are used to either:

• support families and individuals who have not been matched directly with a sponsor; or,

•  to create ‘stocking trees’ laden with handwarmers and gift cards and distributed through partner organizations to the homeless community

• Important dates:

  • Sponsors will be notified of their hamper details during the week of
    November 24th - December 1.

  • Hamper delivery and pickup will be scheduled for December 18-20th, unless otherwise arranged with your match(es).
